£1.5 billion legal action filed against Rightmove Action filed at the Competition Appeal Tribunal for a £1.5bn legal action against Rightmove, alleging excessive and unfair fees to UK estate agents and new home developers that list properties on its online property portal. Innsworth is fully funding the claim.
Innsworth funds Rightmove claim Innsworth is funding an opt-out collective action, led by Scott+Scott, to be filed in the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal against Rightmove. The claim alleges an abuse of dominance through excessive and unfair pricing in the online property portal market, and seeks an estimated £1 billion in damages on behalf of estate and letting agents.
Meta faces "user damages" Meta lost its bid to block a UK collective action seeking “user damages” over alleged anticompetitive data practices on Facebook, after the Competition Appeal Tribunal ruled Tuesday. The oral ruling followed class representative Liza Lovdahl Gormsen’s application to amend her claim to add user damages, financial recompense for wrongdoing rather than loss, as an alternative remedy.
